Compare two rates over your stated remaining loan term

Both scenarios use the same balance and remaining term with fixed rates and monthly payments. Principal and interest only; fees, points, taxes, insurance, penalties, and refinancing costs are excluded. This is an illustration, not an offer or a net-savings estimate.

Data Sources

Rate evidence: Direct observations require a recognized source series and its actual observation date. Older observations are labeled stale. Derived values are labeled modeled illustrations with their input dates and method; they are not lender offers. Legacy records without sufficient evidence are withheld. A file update or page review date does not establish a rate observation date.

Comparisons: Rate changes appear only when two dated, comparable observations are available. The same-term payment tool uses only the balance, rates, and remaining months you enter. It excludes fees and other costs and does not estimate net refinancing savings.

Economic calendar and indicators: Stored calendar dates and legacy indicator records remain available as planning context, with limitations shown. Undated indicator trends and conflicting release labels are not presented as verified observations. Confirm schedules and values with the Federal Reserve, BLS, and BEA.

Page review: The review date records this page's presentation and calculation review. It does not claim a new source observation, a new rate quote, or an expert endorsement.
